About this work

This was one of my first digital collages made of my own photos. 2 of the photos are from photos of street art in Cambridge, MA and 1 phot from the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, IL of a Tesla Coil. These photos are layered on top of each other. To me its one of the cornerstone pieces of my Portal series. I love finding and creating portals and this one really started it off. I’m an artist drawn to moments that feel discovered rather than staged. Working across photography and mixed media, my practice explores the quiet tension between place, memory, and movement. I’m interested in the in-between—where light shifts, stories overlap, and meaning isn’t fixed. Influenced by travel and chance encounters, my work aims to hold onto fleeting atmospheres and invite viewers to find their own narratives within them.
